Easy patient credit processing for IVF treatments with ShopSe

The Challenge

As we discussed in our earlier blog post, Reduce Marketing Costs, Harness the Full Potential of Data with ARTis,” only a small percentage of leads progress to treatment cycles. Once a counsellor successfully guides a patient to select the right treatment option, there’s still the hurdle of high IVF treatment costs, which can lead to last-minute drop-offs. Offering patient financing or 0% interest loan options with flexible repayment plans (EMIs) is crucial to prevent this. However, the current manual process of coordinating with finance agents from various providers can be cumbersome and slow, increasing the risk of patient loss at this final stage.

The Solution

ARTis 3, built as an extensible platform, integrates seamlessly with third-party services using APIs. Most digital finance providers offer APIs to automate processes such as checking loan eligibility, requesting a loan, and getting instant approval for disbursement—all without the need for manual paperwork.

We’ve integrated ARTis 3 with ShopSe, India’s largest digital EMI marketplace. This integration allows patients to shop instantly and pay flexibly, simplifying the entire loan process for IVF treatments.

How It Works:

  1. After Counselling: When a patient decides to move forward with treatment and opts for a 0% interest loan, the counsellor navigates to the Billing section in the patient’s case file.
  2. Initiate Loan Application: The counsellor selects the Advance tab, clicks Add to initiate a new advance, and chooses Finance as the payment mode. From the list of finance providers, ShopSe is selected. After entering the loan amount, they click Add.
  3. API Calls to ShopSe: ARTis 3 then makes API calls to ShopSe to verify the patient’s loan eligibility. Once verified, a loan application link is sent to the patient’s mobile phone via SMS.
  4. Patient Loan Application: The patient clicks the link and completes a quick, 1-minute process to select a loan option (either via a bank loan or credit card provider), reviews the loan amount, chooses a repayment term (3, 6, or 12 months), accepts the terms and conditions, and submits the application.
  5. Loan Disbursement: Once the patient submits the application, the counsellor refreshes the Advance transaction in the Digital Transactions category within the billing section. The approved loan amount is then added to the patient’s wallet balance.
  6. Future Payments: Any future services can be billed using the available balance in the patient’s wallet, ensuring smooth payment processing for all treatments.

Conclusion

This seamless integration with ShopSe eliminates paperwork and allows patients to avail credit instantly, making the process more efficient. By reducing the friction involved in payment processing, ARTis 3 helps improve patient conversion rates and enhances the performance of counsellors, ultimately benefiting both patients and IVF centres.
